Next time you pass by the health food store, make sure to grab a bag of dried nettle leaves (urtica dioica) for your next cup of tea.
You must know this stinging nettle plant is touted for having the most amount of chlorophyll than any other herb. This is great news because it helps to purify and oxygenate the blood. Good-bye toxins! C'mon, we need a good clean up now and then...
Packed with vitamins A, C, D, and K and calcium, phosphorus, iron, and sulpher, it hails as one of G-d's marvelous creations in helping the body by
Treating anemia
Boosting the immune system
Restoring nutrients to the system
Treating coughs, colds and congestion
Battling urinary tract infection
Dissolving kidney stones
Treating bladder problems
Treating rheumatoid arthritis
It also increases fertility in men and women, helps lower childbirth pains (from the calcium), helps prevent hemorrahaging after birth (vitmain K), reduces hemorhoids, and increases the richness and quantity of breast milk. And it is also used to treat enlarged prostates.
Nettle teas are best taken before main meals. As a good consumer, check out the counter-indications, drug interactions, with your local herbalist. Better yet, become an herbalist!
Ok, Hashem, You did it again! Nettle teas rock...
G-d bless!
