Our Sages say that He is not in some far away land. He is actively involved in our lives.
I find that loving G-d is something that occurs quite naturally, like a baby reaching for his mother.
oR a bird that leaps into flight...
oR a flower that stretches her petals to bloom...
oR the sun that extends his rays of sunshine...
oR the arms that reaches to touch and hug...
oR a butterfly emerging from her cocoon...
oR a road that naturally winds...
oR a tree that takes root in her soil...
oR the leaves that dance when a breeze passes by...
oR the natural chatter of friends....
oR the spiral turns of curly, kinky hair....
It's only natural....
G-d bless!

Autumn Air...
lungs breathe in autumn metal air
and exhale old summer heat, and
summer thoughts
Yellow, gold, and orange light up
my garden
and ushers a welcome change
as days shy short and nights extrovert
A restless wind from lower worlds hovers
to dry the yin and contract
and distract
Yet yesod springs from higher world opens
to water the day and lengthen
and strengthen
Onion yellow, ginger gold and pumpkin orange
light up
my garden
G-d bless!!!
Autumn is already on its way out the door...
and exhale old summer heat, and
summer thoughts
Yellow, gold, and orange light up
my garden
and ushers a welcome change
as days shy short and nights extrovert
A restless wind from lower worlds hovers
to dry the yin and contract
and distract
Yet yesod springs from higher world opens
to water the day and lengthen
and strengthen
Onion yellow, ginger gold and pumpkin orange
light up
my garden
G-d bless!!!
Autumn is already on its way out the door...

Sentinel Nigeria
I love poetry, and I am constantly on the quest to find particularly poems from African writers. Check out a new website I stumbled on called Sentinel Nigeria where you can find poetry and fiction.
Here's an excerpt from a poem Hollow Palm Leavesby Ibrahim Sambo:
Like palm leaves
Without the breeze
The stillness of the heart
Without its beats
like the ocean
Without its waves
Your absence...
G-d bless!!!

I saw when your Sun began to shine....on my Moon
5:53 sunrise smiles on Tsefat skies
as twilight croons home to claim her prize
saffron rays marks a mystic light show
kindled sparks ripen into a husky glow
Summon cave winds and dew-cool lush
to sweeten a deep thought purpl-y plush
seraphim, ofanim 'round and thunder
the moment day and night are wrent 'sunder
flows the ancient, the age old lullaby
that sparks the sigh and then the battle cry
skies, hazy spazy crazy bright blues
blends with clouds of creamy puff hues
5:53 sunrise smiles on Tsefat skies
as twilight croons home to claim her prize
I saw when your sun began to shine
on my moon...
G-d bless!
